Replacing Flammable-Rated Heat Transfer Fluid in Fine Chemicals Production
A fine-chemical producer in Georgia needed a low-temperature heat transfer fluid to replace the flammable-rated product in their reactor loop, and chose the Paratherm LR™ Heat Transfer Fluid. This food grade (NSF approved) fluid operates between -40°C and +204°C. Its >60°C flashpoint allows it to be classified as Combustible rather than Flammable, reducing safety concerns. Chemical, cosmetic, and electronic-materials manufacturers have replaced Silicone-based, glycol/water, and other fluid chemistries with the Paratherm LR fluid.
Fragrances and Pheromones Firm in
New England Needed Much Lower Temperatures
After seeing a lab demonstration showing the new Paratherm
CR™ (Cryogenic-Range) heat transfer fluid
reaching temperatures well below -80 degrees C, Bedoukian Corporation tested the fluid, using it to remove heat from
exothermic chemical reactions, and found it far
more efficient at reducing temperatures than any
other fluid the company had ever used. READ

Glycol-Water Couldn't Deliver-- Solution: Food-Grade Paratherm Mid-Range Heat Transfer Fluid
A Pharmaceutical Manufacturer in Puerto Rico switched their specification from Glycol-Water to new Paratherm MG™ heat transfer fluid, for a process
requiring a temperature range of around 100
degrees F down to about 30 degrees F. They
needed a completely non-toxic, food-grade oil due
to the requirements of the pharmaceutical manufacturing
process. The Paratherm MG, a synthetic-hydrocarbon-based thermal oil
with a range from 30 degrees F to 500 degrees F, serves the low temperatures required by the
process, delivers the required cooling capacity, and requires
less environmental oversight than ethylene glycol.
