Conshohocken, PA, October 18, 2001 -- Paratherm HE® enviro-friendly heat transfer fluid is available for asphalt applications from Paratherm Corporation.

The HE fluid is widely used in terminals, batch, drum and portable hot mix asphalt plants to precisely and uniformly control temperature in heating mixers, AC tanks, silos, drag conveyors and for pipe tracing. The HE fluid has a maximum bulk temperature of 600°F and is one of the most efficient thermal fluids on the market. It is cost effective and thermally stable.

The HE fluid also provides exceptionally high flash and fire points, 440°F and 500°F respectively. These are higher than the temperature requirements of most asphalt plant systems.

Environmentally, a Water Accommodated Fraction of the HE fluid has passed Bioassay testing with Fathead minnow, water flea and Seawater shrimp. Increased local, state and federal restrictions make this especially important in asphalt equipment operating at a job-site and in facilities near water.
