ENVIRO-FRIENDLY
NON-FOULING, HIGH EFFICIENCY, OXIDATION RESISTANT
PARATHERM OR® HEAT TRANSFER FLUID CONTROLS PROCESS TEMPERATURES
PRECISELY AND UNIFORMLY IN RUBBER & PLASTICS APPLICATIONS
Paratherm OR(Oxidation Resistant) Heat Transfer Fluid from Paratherm Corporation
is a non-fouling, non-toxic, high-efficiency, oxidation-resistant,
food-grade heat transfer fluid that can be used to control process
temperatures in a wide range of manufacturing and processing equipment.
The OR fluid is engineered for rugged applications under job-shop conditions where frequent start-ups and shutdowns, and air contact are unavoidable. This non-toxic non-fouling fluid combines high flash and fire points with superior oxidation resistance and excellent thermal efficiency.
The OR fluid is designed to precisely and uniformly control process temperatures in closed-loop liquid-phase heat transfer systems to 600°F. Liquid heating/cooling systems provide efficient, high-temperature heat transfer at zero or low system pressures.
Within the rubber and plastics industry, OR fluid is typically used in
machinery to precisely and uniformly control temperature (to within ±
1°F) in molds, barrels, dies, screws, platens and calender rolls to
600°F. Under severe overheat conditions, OR fluid evolves carbon
granules which remain in suspension and will not adhere to heated
surfaces. Such granules that may evolve are easily filtered out.
OR Heat Transfer Fluid is a non-toxic, crystal clear liquid that has no
odor and no taste. It contains no chlorinated or aromatic hydrocarbons,
heavy metals, or sulfur or nitrogen compounds. The OR fluid has passed
Bioassay and can be recycled locally.
Other industry applications for OR Heat Transfer Fluid include reactors,
kettles, columns, dryers, mills, mixers, tracing, storage tanks and
evaporators. OR fluid is available at stocking locations throughout
North America. For more information on the NF and OR non-toxic, enviro-friendly heat transfer
fluids, contact your regional representative at Paratherm.
